Great Environment for Learning and Telecom Career Growth
Pros: As a Network Engineer at TIME dotCom Berhad, I've really appreciated the chance to grow my skills in the telecommunications industry. There's excellent exposure to fibre optics and data center tech. The teams are collaborative, and leadership generally supports learning and development. It's a stable company where you can learn a lot and build a solid foundation.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow, and getting promotions sometimes takes longer than I'd expect. Also, some internal processes for approvals could definitely be more efficient to speed things up.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining internal approval processes to enhance efficiency. Regularly review and communicate career progression frameworks to give employees clearer visibility on promotion paths.

Stable job, but career growth is slow here
Pros: The company is a big name in the telecom industry here in Malaysia. As a Software Engineer, I worked on some interesting projects. They do offer some training, which is good for learning new tech skills.
Cons: Upward mobility is definitely a challenge, especially in the Kuala Lumpur office. There just aren't many clear career paths beyond your current role. It can feel like a bit of a corporate logjam when you want to move up.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into creating clearer career progression frameworks for technical staff. Investing in more internal promotions would help with morale and retention.
