Pay is okay, but benefits are basic.
Pros: The base pay for a security officer is decent for the physical security industry in Kuala Lumpur. You always get paid on time, which isn't a given everywhere. There's often a chance for extra overtime shifts if you need more money.
Cons: The pay and benefit package feels pretty basic; don't expect a lot of perks. Raises are very slow, so career growth in terms of compensation isn't great. For the long hours of shift work, the overall pay could be better.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the benefits package beyond just the basics. More competitive pay raises would also really help with retention for dedicated security personnel.
