Pros: It's a stable job in the financial services sector, which is a plus. The team in our Kuala Lumpur branch is generally supportive, and we all try to help each other out during peak hours. You get decent exposure to retail banking operations.
Cons: Work-life balance here? It's not great for Customer Service Officer roles, especially with branch opening hours. You often stay late to close out daily transactions and handle customer issues. There's not much room for work flexibility, it's pretty much always onsite work.
Advice to Management: Managers should look into staffing levels for Customer Service roles. It feels like we're always understaffed, leading to burnout. More investment in process improvements could also help reduce daily closing times.
