Pay's okay, but benefits could use a boost

Pros: As a Project Coordinator here, the base salary is decent. It's competitive enough for Kuala Lumpur. Plus, they do offer medical coverage and a small annual bonus if our construction projects hit targets, which is something. We also get some site allowances for remote work.
Cons: Raises aren't very frequent, and they're usually small. For those in onsite roles, it feels like we're always pushing for more. The overall benefits package feels pretty basic compared to other mid-sized construction firms; things like dental or better retirement aren't really there. Overtime isn't always compensated directly either, it's often just expected to get the job done.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving the overall benefits package and ensure salaries for Project Coordinators keep pace with industry standards in the Kuala Lumpur market. Recognize and fairly compensate for extensive onsite overtime. Show more
