Decent WLB for Finance, but it Varies
Pros: You get some flexibility with your morning schedule, which is nice. For Financial Advisor roles in our New York City office, the work-life balance can be better than some other corporate environments. The team is usually supportive if you need a specific day off.
Cons: Expect 50-60 hour weeks during peak client acquisition phases. It's tough in the wealth management industry to avoid long hours when you're really pushing. Weekends can definitely get pulled into work sometimes, especially around reporting periods.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage team leads to enforce proper breaks and less weekend work. It's important to help prevent burnout, especially for newer advisors still building their client base. Maybe set clearer expectations for busy seasons.
