Pros: As a Curriculum Developer, the WFH setup is a huge plus. It's really good for managing personal appointments, which isn't always easy in the education technology field. I appreciate the ability to largely set my own hours remote from Dallas, TX.
Cons: Sometimes, big project deadlines mean losing that flexibility. There's less wiggle room for scheduled calls, especially with clients. It can feel like management expects constant availability, even with the "flexible" policy.
Advice to Management: Clearly define expectations around "flexible hours" versus "on-call availability." Support remote employees by not overloading project schedules.
