Leadership needs to step up big time
Pros: I did get to work on some interesting gas systems engineering projects. The team culture among the Project Engineers in the Kuala Lumpur office was pretty good, we always helped each other out. There's job security for an onsite role, which is a plus.
Cons: Leadership here is often out of touch with what's happening on the ground. Communication from the top down for industrial gas projects can be a real mess. You often feel like you're just a number, not a valued part of the team.
Advice to Management: Listen to your Project Engineers and other technical staff more. Get a better handle on project realities and improve communication, especially for those big industrial gas installations. Invest in some leadership training too.
