Job Security is Solid, Growth is Slow
Pros: Honestly, job security here is one of the best things. You don't have to worry much about layoffs in this corporate environment, even in tough times for the construction materials industry. They're a big player in steel manufacturing, so there's always work to do. It feels stable.
Cons: Career progression can be super slow for Production Engineer roles. It feels like you wait ages for promotions. Innovation isn't a huge focus, so the work can get a bit repetitive. There aren't many opportunities to learn new tech in metal fabrication processes.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career paths for employees, especially in technical roles. Invest in modernizing processes for better efficiency and employee engagement.

Leadership needs a serious rethink here
Pros: As a Production Engineer, I got solid experience with heavy industry processes and steel manufacturing. The team culture among peers is pretty good, we support each other well. It's a stable, well-established company for mostly onsite roles.
Cons: Leadership is very top-down and doesn't encourage new ideas from the ground level. There's not much room for career growth or professional development, especially for technical roles. Decisions often feel slow and outdated, hurting innovation.
Advice to Management: Management needs to listen more to floor-level feedback and empower teams. Invest in modern leadership training and develop clearer career paths for employees in technical and engineering departments to foster a more dynamic environment.
