Great Place for Stable Career in Financial Services
Pros: I really value the supportive team culture at ING Hubs Philippines, working as an Operations Analyst in Taguig. There are good opportunities for learning new financial processes. The work-life balance is decent for the banking industry, and my colleagues are always helpful, making it a solid place to grow.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow sometimes for an Operations Analyst, with promotions taking longer than expected. Also, as a large global company, some internal approval processes can be a little bureaucratic.
Advice to Management: Keep focusing on streamlining internal processes to reduce bureaucracy. Also, clear pathways for career growth and promotions would boost employee morale and retention.

Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss Here
Pros: The direct managers in the Manila office are generally supportive, which helps a lot day-to-day. The hybrid work model is a real plus for work-life balance too. It's a solid place for career stability in financial services.
Cons: Senior leadership often feels pretty disconnected from the daily grind for us Software Engineers. There's not always clear communication from the top brass, which can be frustrating. Career progression can feel stalled without strong advocacy from management.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing middle management and ensuring consistent communication from the top down. Empower team leads more and really listen to feedback from those in the trenches in the Manila office. Invest in leadership training too.

Decent Work-Life Balance for Banking Operations
Pros: I really appreciate the hybrid work model; it helps a lot with navigating the commute in Taguig City. As an Operations Specialist, I generally stick to my 40-hour weeks, which is good for my personal time. There's a decent effort to prevent burnout across most teams.
Cons: Sometimes, especially nearing project deadlines or quarter-end, things get really hectic. You can feel pressure to log extra hours in core banking operations, which can mess with your personal plans. It's not consistent across all departments; some teams definitely struggle more than others.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workloads and project timelines across teams. Some departments really feel the crunch more than others, making work-life balance inconsistent.
