Solutions Architect

Decent Job Security, But Fast-Paced
Pros: Cloudinary is solid in the digital asset management space. The company's growing, so as a Solutions Architect, I always had projects. It feels pretty stable for a mid-sized tech company.
Cons: They have reorganizations often, which makes things feel a bit shaky sometimes. Long-term career path isn't always clear here. Being remote from US helps, but stability could be better.
Advice to Management: Try to provide more clarity on future direction and role stability during rapid growth periods. It helps with employee morale and reduces uncertainty.

Cloudinary's culture: good people, but needs work
Pros: The people here are genuinely smart and helpful. Working as a Solutions Architect, I've found my immediate team in the digital asset management space really supportive. It's a solid place if you like working with bright minds.
Cons: Cross-team communication can be a mess. There are definitely silos, which makes big projects slow. For a big tech company, it feels a little less connected, especially when you're working remote from Texas.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on breaking down those department silos. More effort on company-wide events, even virtual ones, would help remote employees feel more part of the team. We need to boost that overall cohesion in this cloud computing environment.

Software Engineer

Solid flexibility for remote dev, with a few bumps.
Pros: Being a remote software engineer here is pretty good for managing your own schedule. I've found the work flexibility around daily tasks is decent, especially for asynchronous communication in cloud media management. You can mostly set your own hours.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines get super tight, which can erase that flexibility fast. You're expected to be available for team syncs, which means certain core hours are non-negotiable despite being remote. It's tough when you're working on complex SaaS developer tools.
Advice to Management: Try to plan projects with more realistic buffer times to maintain the great remote flexibility you offer. Help teams manage dependencies better across time zones.
